Through a community-nominated selection process by CEJA’s members and partners, this year’s Environmental Justice Leadership Awards recognize the exemplary work of decision-makers and community members who lift up environmental justice and equity locally, regionally, and statewide. Last year’s recipients were Communities for a Better Environment and East Yard Communities for Environmental Justice for their victory in shutting down Exide, and Senate Pro Tem Kevin de León.
