CEJA is proud to have stood up for environmental and climate justice in the face of a cap and trade extension that leaves behind our communities. AB 398 is a big step backwards for California's climate policy and we have a lot of hard work ahead of us. Moving forward, we will need to ensure our state agencies use their full power to make AB 398 implementation as strong as possible.
CEJA hosted a series of in-district community town halls to create a space to educate elected officials on environmental justice, immigrant rights, and housing rights, engage community residents and their elected officials in dialogue, help move decision-makers closer to championing our policies, and bridge movements.
