We need clean energy, not fossil fuels!

Just months after the California Environmental Justice Alliance fought off two dirty power plants in San Diego, there are plans to continue to build one of them.

Read this UT San Diego article by Morgan Lee that explains how San Diego Gas & Electric plans to move forward with building the Pio Pico natural gas power plant.  Nicole Capretz of the Environmental Health Coalition and CEJA member says, “What we heard the [California Public Utilities Commission] say is we do not need new power plants in San Diego until at least 2018, and we have a few years to figure out how to meet any energy needs with alternate sources other than fossil fuels.”
